I think that may be TOO heavy for me at this point. I'm at about 54 strength, but it just DOESN'T improve beyond this. I f I try to wield anything heavier than 10,000 grams (torn trollhide armor), the game tells me that I can't use the object in question. You would think swinging armor around all day would turn you into Arnold, but it hadn't gotten my strength any higher.

I don't think everyone would get that "Arnold" reference, despite how obvious it is. Some people live under rocks.

I'll give this a try later, but don't see how it would make a difference. If I fill a box up with 10,000 grams of stones, the result will likely be the same as swinging a broken piece of trollhide armor. I still won't increase my strength. I'm jealous at how quickly NPCs increase their attributes.

you can possess creatures in wizard mode , right ? THen you can take your revenge on them by stealing their life and corpse ! those damn npc cheaters who progress quicker and further than you !

He doesn't use wizard mode (to my knowledge) he uses more exotic/less conventional means of cheating.

Damn, I was able to get 40ish strength without ommel items. You made it 54!?! How high can you get dex and agi?

My dex is presently only at 30. Agl is low 20s. These 2 never go up much for me because I don't concentrate much on them. But I have found that if you arm an orc general with 2 broken bottles and spend all day dodging his ever quickening attacks, agil starts going through the roof. I'm still trying to figure out how I can get my strength up there. It's not fair that NPCs can get over 100 strength without taking any ommel drugs. I really want to know what the coding is for PC attribute limits.

Just wait, level 65 in all weapons PLUS uncategorized and a valpurium-palm-capable character are just around the corner.

when that becomes possible, you can start aiming for chars capable of wielding golden palm leaves.
