But if the next version comes out before I do all this, I may just "shelve" this character. Standing around having a pet orc general hit you gets boring sometimes.

Hmm, I don't recall ever getting hit by these vorpal attacks with my 9k+ hp school food abusers. Did this character have any level 65 weapon skills?

If you train up a monster long enough, it will obtain level 65 skills. At least that's what I think based on the strength of their attacks and the frequency of criticals they inflict on my character. I've trained up mainly orcs and suicide dwarves. If you see my suicide dwarf thread, you'll see that even a bite can be trained up to the point where it can penetrate valpurium armor, go past a blocking Justifier, and completely obliterate a player character's torso. Training is a fearsome thing.

Keep in mind that even "stock" dwarves can hurt you real bad after your character gets powerful. See my thread about suicide dwarves who bomb you, stay alive, and then kick you ass with their books. But I don't mind these guys. In fact, I like them so much I'm currently messing with the code so that they'll wield a backpack in each hand in addition to the one their packing on their back.

Hmmm... I increased the "Volume" of gunpowder each backpack has, which will probably make them slower, but much deadlier... ...I think.
