Blob is also a Hero. He wields the Elite's Sword (which looks like a kiwi), the Champion's Shield (which is shaped like a plate), and wears the Hero's Helmet (which is similar to a banana peel). Those, combined with his new Cave Bear powers, makes him neigh unstoppable. Only Steve the Robot could possibly stop him now, and Steve's a good guy. So basically, we're screwed.

now there's a boss worth adding: Blob the amoebic cave bear, and Steve the robot.

Blob the ULTIMATE cave bear please. Sounds better this way. And by the way, Yoda's also as powerful as us, but he's on the moon right now ( so yeah, you're screwed ).

adding the weapon class "lightsaber" might be a good idea as well.

Jippii, I just defeated Elpuri. On last levels I just watched my pets (two valpurium golems, angel and elite knight) killing everybody. I didn't want to dirty my hands at all so I even expected valpurium golem to kill Elpuri on it's own. That was little bit too much though. My other pets were also killed or lost so I made a diamond golem which helped me to kill Elpuri easily. This took only two weeks and I wasn't playing every day so Ivan was quite short compared to othet roguelikes. But very enjoyable still.

Now try to kill Petrus or Oree. You might find that takes a bit longer.

I've just finished the game for the first time. I've used pets (ie Ivan with a +5 Mjolak and Vladimir, let alone an ommel tooth golem and some resurrected characters), who have made all the work. After the victory, i've noticed that ivan killed not only Elpuri, but also Ur-Khan, Xinroch and Guugzamesh. Moreover, my Elite guard killed Rondol. I've only defeated the Enner Beast and the GC8 mystic dark Frog. Finally, it seems to be efficient to let your powerfull pets killing dangerous monsters while you explore the level - remember of keeping what is necessary to teleport and call your friends and support them (wands, magical whistles, horns...). It's really fun to finish (at least win for the first time) IVAN after only 6 months playing the game in a hard-working period.
