Well I definatly agree with you and some of the other people on these forums, maybe we could get some more people that have some skill in coding, to try and get some more stuff in? I dunno, just a thought.

I think that's a great idea. You've been here much longer than me, so you probably know who to contact to do what. What we really need is someone close to the devs, so we can get that person to bother them for some advice on modding.

The closer to the dev here is atomic i think. Then its Dark angel i believe ( i guess he was a friend of the dev, not a dev himself ). But atomic could not find any way to talk with them since a long time. Now, bout the news: I am currently on a new dungeon with planplan. We already have the dungeon appearing on the map and have a new monster spawnable. There's still a lot of work to do, but its already working. Planplan is the coder so if you need some advice on the coding or to compile, you should ask him.

And I want to add that this dungeon would be very unique in his style, but shhht, secret ;) (but we keep the sadistic style of IVAN anyway 8) ) About coding... Truly, the hardest is to find the correct lines in the code, sometimes, you need to edit a lot of differents files. For a totaly new monster, with new flesh, AI, etc, you'll have to edit... say... more than 10 files (C and scripts). Just have a good use of the "Search word in a list of files" :) I'm not very good in C programming, but if I can help. About compiling, I use MinGW, and it work perfectly, the only thing is that the EXE is larger and the icon is missing. I recommand you search in the programming section, there's a nice tutorial.

Hmm. That's really cool. Do you guys have a release date in mind for this dungeon? Combining your additions with the black market mod and the plant level done a while by some other guy would give people more real estate to play with.

Hmmm, Right now i dont where we could add a 3rd town. We dont have precise release date except that we'd like to finish it before the end of holidays. Which gives us up to end of september.

Hey, that's cool. I'm in the sticks so the local comm. college only offers courses in C. I'll have to "redirect" what I learn there into modding roguelikes.

What does your training course deal with?

I design and create in 3D all the usable items ( life potions , mana potions , ... ) , quest items , and miscellaneous items. i will also make a few weapons for the game later. The game is "loki" you can check its website on google if you want ( none of my work is on the screenshots )
