the translators do a nice job, too. at least for some games. Warcraft for example was translated pretty nicely.

Have you ever read Lord of the Rings (the novel) in Chinese? The guy who did the translation for that was a complete badass! When I read a few years back, I was thinking to myself "Yeah, this is how the English should be translated into Chinese." Of course, if I tried such a feat, it wouldn't have come out the same. But yeah, you're right, the translations are pretty good on average.
