Speaking of that, there's a minor English error in the sentance. Sounds like it's saying that "You can't sacrifice yourself because the foo corpse is too valuable." Shoudl be something more like "The foo corpse is too valuable for you to sacrifice it."

Take the "it" off the end of that sentence and it'll be perfect. :P Or: "The corpse of <name> is too valuable to sacrifice."

A bug ??? from another thread. It seems to be possible to enter the sumo arena whilst polymorphed. I'm pretty certain that I've been refused entry while polymorphed before though. Would the method of being polymorphed affect this (eg food / wand / ring)? the relevant piece of code (I think) is

When theres a monster a few cases away and that you want to have the first strike, dont use the wait command, use Search. Searching seems to last 1/5 or so of Wait. I think this should be the inverse. Whenever i wait, the ennemy often has the time to reach the adjacent case AND hit me in the same turn.Searching is the only way i found to avoid this. :? Edit: I got 3 charges in a wand of mirroring, read a scroll of charging and it gave me another 3 charges for the wand of mirroring. Was it a bug in the code or i am extremely lucky ?

Using a Scroll of Charging gives you the exact same amount of charges the wand originally had. I actually like that, it gives a feel that each wand is unique.

I just lost a character that won the sumo belt. But Decos and the bunch didn't leave. All because a banana grower was trying to get in to drop his load.

This may be what you guys are talking about above, but I can't be sure... After fighting the Sumo Guy I was stuck on the stairs for a very long time, becaues the inside of the building was taken up by a child tourist, female tourist, me, and the Sumo... the village elder was blocking the door. No one moved... EVER! I had no teleportation wand, so my character waited and waited. Eventually I thought of praying to Sophos and got teleported away, then everyone moved normal.

There's another small typo. A slightly rusted foo is listed as a "sligthly" rusted foo. (file:materias.cpp, line:215)

I don't know what triggered this, but my last character had teleport control in blue in the status window. This suggests that it was due to an item and would not time out, but I was not wearing a ring of teleport control.

If you drank from a fountain it might have been that. Fountain can give special status from a very long time.

Did you had an artifact weapon ? I think vermis gives telecontrol.
