Oh trust me I've had PLENTY of dreams of games that don't exist. I also have Deja Vu ALOT.

blob- 12-02-2005

By Deja vu , you mean the impression when you re awake, to have already seen a place you ve never been before , or to have already lived a moment that is happening ?

You guys are eating too many mushrooms.......

I had a wierd dream last night. It was sorta like Zelda 64, except the only weapon we had was the bow and the Giant's Knife. I geuss me and my friend were both playing, going back and forth or something, I dunno, it was wierd though because we were actually *in* the game, not like watching a TV. I mean, not physically in there, just like... you know? Anyways. We were fighting some bigass boss monster, like a spider with a slightly vaguely human head. Eventually we somehow got a blanket over it's eyes so it couldn't see, but we still couldn't figure out how to hurt it. Then my friend started charging the sword up and jump-hacking the head. But I couldn't see because for some reason the spider was between my veiwpoint and what was going on. But anyways right when the spider died the sword broke and ... I... Link... I odn't know who it was, anyways, the person with the sword was left standing there with the hilt and like the charge-glow was where the sword had been and the shards were all over. And he just kinda stood there. Then I woke up...

I had dreams of games exactly like Perfect Dark and Giants: Citizen Kabuto waaay before they were out :\

Slob- 12-03-2005

wow, there's some of that deja vu you guys were talking about

Atomic- 12-03-2005

And that is why I'm here, your friendly neighborhood moderator! GO GO DELETE-EXTRA-POST-POWERS! Anyways. Jimmy. I think I've said this before, but... DO NOT click submit more than once. Please? I'm getting tired of cleaning up your trash.

I dream all the time about games...Mostly Maplestory (grindgrindgrind) and Shadow of the Colossus (OMG THAT THING IS HUGE RUN). But usually in the SotC dreams I have a gun.

Yay, my first zombie dream for a long time. But this time it was with an ape zombie. The weirdest being that i was samus ( from metroid ) taking some energy tank and armor before meeting the ape going zombie, studied by some human scientists. The dumb ape started biting people after some time and i just ran and hide somewhere under a blanket. The worst is that i lived that sequence 2 times ( a bit differently the second time ). Time for a psy. -Now, you havent answered my question, what does "deja vu" means in english please?

Atomic- 12-04-2005

Isn't it "already seen" in french? Pretty much the same to us Enlish-speaking folks. It's like... you're driving along talking about something, and suddenly you thing "OMG havn't we done this before? Like exactly down to the very words?! OMG FREAK OUT"

blob- 12-04-2005

Ah, thanks! I wanted to check if it really was that phenomenon. (And yes, "déja vu" is "already seen" in french.)

I think that continuing our dialogue about dreams is more pertinent here. So... *bump* Have you ever had a dream so real, that you mistaked it for reality when you were awake later?

Battleguy01- 09-08-2006

Yeah, once, on the last day of the holidays, i totally felt like i started my holidays again, then i woke up and found out i had to go to school. What mostly happens in your dreams.

Freelance Berzerker- 09-08-2006

I've had the pleasure/horror only a couple times of WAKING UP and being FULLY CONSCIOUS but still in dream state. This is when I see my dreamworld superimposed over my bedroom reality. Is this fucked up? I don't know. Maybe it accounts for my creative nature. When this happens, I'm fully cognizant of my situation, but unable to move any muscle a single millimeter. Only once was I able to move a fingertip with an incredible force of will. That was a major victory. But just imagine, dudes. You have some crazed psycho about to bash your head in with an axe, you see your real bedroom, and you can't move at all. There's also no "wake up" from the dream since you're already awake. It's more like a fading away of dream substance and slow regaining of muscle control. I remember being so fascinated by this one time I looked it up in a psychology textbook. Can't remember the name of it. You Psych-major IVANers out there help me out...

Oops just saw the topic was back revived. Whatever. It happened to me too to think a dream was real. I think it was some things like " phew, that was tough and annoying but i finished all my homework, and now i can play the whole weekend " and i suddenly realise i havent done any freaking work. Aw. Double pain: boring dream + bad surprise. I dont know the name of what happened to you freelance, but that seems amazing :D The dream must become even more real !
