Lucid dreams
Anyone out there know how to lucid dream? I used to be able to do it at will but now it only happens every once in a while and mostly I just realize I'm dreaming and then try to dream some really hot naked chick :shock: and wake up too soon. Arrgh.

Well I'm not sure if it is lucid, but what if I don't realize that I'm in a dream but I just notice I can do about anything? Usually I don't think it's a dream but just that I notice that I think I can do magic or such :o But usually then I start just flying around a bit, it's always fun to fly in dreams when you know you can fly anywhere you want and you don't need to care about anything. But always when you wake up you want to get back to the dream :(

What you need to do is think about the lucid dreams and what made you realize you are dreaming. With me one trigger is if I jump in a dream, I usually try to jump farther by lifting my legs before they hit the ground and I find that I can jump great distances. This clues me in, "Wait a minute I'm defying the law of gravity, I must be dreaming" And then I usually take of and fly. So for me a trigger is anything that just doesn't follow reality as we know it. For example, sometimes I have dreams where i get shot and start to die but then start feeling better," hmm wait a minute..." Or if you have recurring dream that you are aware of you can use them as triggers. For example, I have this recurring dream where I've signed up for a math class but have not attended all semester and the final is coming but when i have this dream now I usually realize "wait a minute, I've been out of university for almost 10 years...." My problem now is finding that balance between lucidity and waking up. I seem to always wake up.

Well for my part, when i could still realise i was dreaming i would realise it quite easily even when the dream wasnt really weird. Now it just sucks, my recurrent dream is about zombies invading earth at night and trying to eat me alive and i cant even realise its a stupid dream ! I'm a sissy. I never get killed in my dreams , i always wake up before. Hah zombies:"braaaains, braaaaaains" I got shot in the head during a dream and it really friggin hurt. I remeber thinking damn this is the end but then I woke up. I checked out one of those links. There was a bit of usefull information but on the forums there were no cool people who played IVAN :(

I had many LUCID dreams. Best way that i know to get one is that I read lot of lucid things and next night im flying with birds.... Ah.... ZZZzzz....

This is one of my favorite things to talk about! I <3 lucid dreaming... though I don't really do it often, I prety much suck at going lucid. But I AM really interested in the phenominon. Has anyone else seen Waking Life? it is one of the best films about lucid dreaming, and it's really inspiring... PS next time you realize you're dreaming, try to fly through a mirror... I've never actually remebered to do it in MY dreams, but according to some of the more experienced dreamers it is amazing!

No way! When I go through the mirror its into an evil realm filled with demons. Ever see Prince of Darkness??? Scary scary :shock: I haven't seen waking life but as a kid I really liked the movie Dreamscape. If you haven't seen it and you like lucid dreaming then you should rent it.

50% of my dreams are "lucid" as You call it. I have an easy way. When i dream, rather than looking, I "take control" of them, thinking 'This is MY dream'. I can create naked babes and rayguns this way :D. My best lucid dream was my "Betrayal At Krondor Dream". Maybe we should post our best ones? huh?

Well, the whole point it to understand you re in a dream to be able to take control of it. You re lucky if its that easy for you :) And, yeah, sure we can share our dreams here. For my part i often dream of monsters ( fighting giant humanoid insects while flying around my country side house , or being purchased by zombies), video games ( i find it scary to even dream about games :/ ), or people i know ( but thats weird as those seems to be the one with the less logical meanings ).

I dream I'm in video games all the time, including IVAN and Wolfenstien 3d, evil dragon bear edition O.o Yeah... My video game dreams are fun, and usually violent.

You guys are pretty luck then. My dreams are pretty boring. It usually consists of me at work or eating lunch or something. I do have cool ones occasionally though. Some of the most fun ones were the ones where I had some animal quality like being able to hop at high velocities or fly.

I wonder how are your dreams of Ivan. When i dream of video games, its usually non existing ones, which is really cool because this gives me a lot of new ideas for games to create. I really want to use my dreams to be more creative in life. I even dream of music in my video games dreams but i was only able one time to remember the music after i woke up and to write it down.
