Hey all, I'm new! :P
Anyway, here's a description of my most gruesome death to date:
My character (Opius) was exploring GC2 when he sighted a torrent of wolves coming his way. With his trusty warhammer, the warrior started bashing many of the beasts, until a transformed werewolf (that is, not in human form) showed up. He was now stuck in a narrow corridor. Opius valiantly tried to get rid of the lycanthrope whilst being constantly bitten by the rest of the wolves. Several limbs fell off, but he prayed and prayed, getting new ones to replace the ones lost (he even got a cloth arm... -_-). He eventually ran out of possible prayers, and having scared the werewolf away, he began running towards the exit to the previous floor, the hungry wolves on his tail. Both of his legs were torn off before he could escape. The horrid beasts kept biting Opius, even though he was little more than a harmless torso on the ground, with only one of his arms to pointlessly counter their attack. Finally, one of the wolves reached for his head and chomped it off...
That'd be all. Sorry if that was too long, but I tend to be quite detailed sometimes.

Maybe...Jimmy should stop making obcene references when they're COMPLETELY uncalled for.
But that's just a tip ;). And welcome to the forums, Shadow.

The most gruesome death i saw was not mine but the one of my dear slave.
It was a bit like shadow story: i was fighting the wolves hord with my slave friend ( who was a lot stronger than me with some good equipment ). I stayed a bit at the back for some reasons ( either for healing of looting some chests ) and looked for my slave again who had continue with his wolf slaughter far from my sight. I thought i'd find a few wolves corpses and my slave eating and roasting wolves with his steel flaming sword but what i saw horrified me. The whole corridor was red because of blood... and limbs were scattered everywhere... I first found an arm and thought " haha this arm has the same equipment than my slave do! ". I only understood when i found the head. That was really nasty. Poor Alphonse...I never found his other arm  ( and the ring that was coming with :x )
PS: My english sucks but my engrish is perfect !

Here's another bloody but not-so-gruesome death (mainly because there wasn't much left of my character after his death). This is a shorter story. :P
Zernholt was a lawful warrior wandering around GC3. He had a nice Ring of Searching, so he was confident about its power. After walking many corridors, the fighter saw a large room and decided to check it out. To his surprise, there were lots of items on the ground, and a few were quite good. Nevertheless, he treaded carefully, discovering two mines and promptly evading them. Unfortunately, his not-so-trusty ring failed to detect a big mine, on which he stepped in a tragic turn of events.
*thump* *BOOM!*
Zernholt was now greviously wounded, but he thought it was over. It wasn't.
*BOOM!*
His bag full of gunpowder exploded too, triggered by the big mine. There was nothing left of him after that... :(
PS: How can you easily disable mines without having to zap them with striking or fireball wands? I know that kicking active bear traps shuts them and allows you to take them, but I haven't dared to do the same with mines. :?
(the one & only) Xeth- 08-12-2005
well one thing is to just get two rings of fire resist and other fire resist stuff, and NOT carrying bags of gun powder helps too..
Or just go win that sumo fight and laugh as you float in the air while everything else suffers the same fate that you did...
Shadow- 08-12-2005
I see, so you can't disable active mines and use them yourself, like with active bear traps. And no, it's not good to carry bags full of gunpowder around, but Zernholt was one of my first characters. :P
By the way, I noticed jimmy posted before my last post, and now his message was deleted...
unknown_entity- 08-12-2005
I did that. He was posting COMPLETELY irrelevant stuff.
It said something about one of the smilies looking like its "taking a dump". It was begging to be deleted. ^_^
My last character was awesome. He made it to enner and had tons of potions on hand. Unfortunately, he was nigh killed by the screams (and used all his HP potions) so it was a doomed cause once I found him.
jimmy- 08-12-2005
ue, i completely agree with you deliting that post :D
jimmy- 08-25-2005
OMG!! That is SOOOO funny ^_^
unknown_entity- 08-25-2005
Silly Jimmy and your off topic posts. :P
Recently I tried to kill the sumo wrestler because, well, I hate him. So I set some mines and bear traps, then dropped some food for him. He runs out, gets stuck, rips free, then punches me in the face.
I was not about to stand for that! I promptly turned on wizard mode and decapitated his head.
Atomic- 08-26-2005
Hehehe! nice!
Does he automatically run for any food in his sight?
And how did he manage to avoid the landmines?
