Hehehe! nice! Does he automatically run for any food in his sight? And how did he manage to avoid the landmines? I've tried killing the sumo wrestler with mines, traps, and bananas and from what I saw, he does run after any food in his line of sight. Thing is he didn't get that banana he wanted so much due to that big mine in his doorway.

All of this reminds me of the only time I tried the mine trick. I fumbled while setting the mine, and had my head blown off (in addition to many other body parts). The sumo wrestler lived on, and I'll bet he then ate my torn, dead body. The lesson? Don't try setting a mine unless you have good Dex, good End, or a wish to fertilize the ground with your well-dispersed corpse.

I wonder if the sumo can get leprosy? That would be awesome if you made him eat a zombie corpse...Or maybe a mutant bunny. Then you could easily finish him off!

It's quite comfy if you have, with an incredibly overflowing luck, managed to be wielding an adamantium bastard sword in one hand and the shiney sword Valpurus might give you in the other. A thunder hammer and an arcanite platemail plus hoards of other dicey things may have also popped up. And all this by the time one might be around GC2 or 3. By an incredible coincidence I was once in a situation like this so it was rather annoying to find myself not being killed in a furious exchange of blows with some unholy knight or not being mutilated to pulp by a powerful golem. Instead I found myself being slowly withered away by the enner dude, which I've managed to destroy with weaker characters before. And I couldn't even see the damn thing while it took my life.

I just died from leprosy...Which generally happens to everyone now and then. but me? It happened 3 times IN A ROW. Damn zombies.

Atomic- 08-31-2005

Quit eating them. I mean, if you're a necrophiliac, that's one thing, but still.

Yeah, sort of a gruesome death but sort of not, I started my game feeling (unfortuanetly) confident. I went straight down into the UT and there was a fountain right there 1 step away from the stairs, so due to my overconfidence, I drank from it, first drink instantly put me down to UT 3, but right there where i teleported to was a nice set of armor, some boots of kicking, and a bottle of some ommel sweat. I made my way back up to UT 1, but on the way, got leprosy from a zombie and my right leg instantly fell of. Making my way back to town my arm fell off, I actually made it to that priestess and got rid of the leprosy but without thinking I put the arm back on, being 1 gold short of getting rid of the leprosy again, having no choice i tried to make my way to Attnam. I got some ommel ceruman on the way down to genetrix, but when i finally made it to genetrix, the leprosy kicked in and i lost one of my arms. Genetrix summoned up some more plants and I got killed. Moral of this gruesome death: Don't feel confident when you start a game of IVaN

Atomic- once I got it because my dog had contracted it before dying, and since I like to eat meh puppehs...You get the idea. The other times were from them hitting me multiple times. But oh well. ^_^

WARNING: Using the belt of levitation to pick up an active bear trap is a nice way to disarm it. The same cannot be said of picking up active mines. "And now for something completely different." (Back at IVAN World News) ...Despite heavy losses, our crack team of mine-disarmers is still trying their hardest to disarm a mine. Next, "Zombie Flesh, Good for You?" Newfound studies have shown... no, its not, so remember to kill and eat your puppy before he can mock you in death by making lose your limbs. This has been Xeth at IVAN World News, stay tuned for IVAN's number one T.V. show, "Hilarious Dungeon Deathtraps" the show where we promise a slave his freedom in exchange for the head of a beast so powerful it can kill someone before they even see it, did we metion that this ungodly creature lives on the deepest floors of multi-level dungeon. We use the secret cameras within our deathtrap we call a ‘dungeon’ and use a teleporter to place objects within the 'dungeon' to give our victim a a small ray of hope, and then see just how far he goes before suffering from a HILLARIOUSLY one-sided cheap death! Our great, all-powerful, and all knowing, god Mort has this to say about our show, "DeAr GOd, iT’s MOre EvIL tHeN mE!!" (Now if only the world of IVAN had TVs...)

Somagu- 09-03-2005

If Ivan had TVs then the dungeons would be alot more empty, the monsters would probably be at home, or in a locked room watching your shows xeth

This could be a great game! Create your dungeon , place treasures to interest heroes to come and have them killed by your monsters or deathtraps.Maybe a game like that already exist ?

Somagu- 09-03-2005

Sort of, Dungeon Keeper, it's in the same vein of that. I would defininatly watch it if it were a TV show, man, I would love it

unknown_entity- 09-04-2005

Yeah, there's an old PS1 game like that, but it kinda sucks. It would be an awesome game though.

DodgeK- 09-04-2005

There also is a comic series built on this idea - Donjon (or Dungeon as the Stateside release is called - not to be confused with D&D)

dalboz- 09-05-2005

I've heard of it, and read the reveiw for it on Underdogs. however, the downloaded game does not work with certain computers, including mine
