..though I have a faint memory that driking fountain-water from a bottle wouldn'tn't remove exhaustion. Which is kinda stupid.
I can't be certain, but I have noticed that when you dip into a fountain, you get much less water. If I recall, it was 100 gram weight, as opposed to the 1150 grams of a full bottle.
I never understood why I couldn't fill'er up, but I certainly noticed how much less effective it is in regards to exhaustion.

long time no post I like banana peels and bronze gauntlets. Clear out UT and kill Genetrix and you and end up with 30 dex and 20+ AS. (Don't try UT4 with banana peels)
I stopped playing IVAN for 6 months but now I have a boring job so I play IVAN instead of working.

Let Genetrix live and just run around her while blocking her attacks. This will training your weapon stats, though the gains become minimal starting at level 17 (at least with my Mjolak). After reaching level 17, even the huge plants gave only 1 XP each while I would have to risk losing my head or a limb with each critical hit. Genetrix gives 1~2 XP for each successful block. Anyhow, something to do during your lunch break.

Ur Khan da' Orc Traina! Want level 65 in ALL weapon skills? No problem!
All you need are: your weapon of choice, Ur-Khan da' Friendly Orc Marshal, and a Lyre of Charm!
Orcs are pretty dumb monsters, and should be easily charmed. After charming Urkie, take away all his equipment and arm him with a heavy rock in one hand and a broken glass in the other. Take him back to a room in the nearest village. Then, KICK him. Next, press control-C for to chat with him while he hits you for the next 3 days. The passive blocking you do will train up your weapon skills. If you use a heavy weapon, you'll automatically train strength. A light weapon trains dexerity.
When hungry, eat. When exhausted, drink. Replenish your supplies by praying to Mellis every 3 hours. When you're satisfied with your phat-new level-65 skillz, play the tune again for Urkie and he's get all warm and snuggly again! The great thing about this method is that Urkie while he's training you, you're training him as well! Now you can take him down in to the dungeons and let him loose like the dog he is against your worst opponents. Feel free to step in every so often to get some great evisceratin' done with your new skillz.
Training up super-henchmen is pretty cool. The only that sucks is that they will eventually get hit by a zombie, contract leprosy, and become useless. Attnam is currently populated by several limbless orc generals which, though completely used by me for my selfish ends, faithfully display little hearts above their heads. One of them even followed me of town through some freak bug, and BIT a goblin bezerker to death while down in the dungeon! ROFL!
I've tried this with angels as well. The problem is that they don't charm well. I'm trying to use this method with Sherarix, but she seems a little spawn-shy as of late. I guess I'm a bit too pumped up for her tastes.

Wow. Just... Wow. A few questions, though.
Does that actually get your skills up to 65?
Does it last for any decent amount of time? (without decreasing, that is)
What's the highest level you can get to?
Freelance Bezerker- 07-18-2006
It not only works but has a few "fringe" benefits.
1) You will get up to level 65 with patience.
2) The skill points do decrease but do not fall as rapidly as pre-level-65. I haven't dropped back to level 64 or level 19 yet.

Wow, I don't exploit games, but that just sounds really nifty, good job, Berserker, I don't think I've ever seen that before!

I thing I noticed while playing last night was that after your character hits level 65 in a weapon, his accumuluted skill points return to zero! It's also quite a stretch to get to level 66, since that would take about 55,000 points. I think the programmers set this artificial ceiling on accident until they figured what they were going to do. I would've preferred them to set no ceiling on leveling, just making each gain harder to get. As soon as I figure out how to sign up for free image hosting, I'll post my paper doll for you guys.

The proof is in the pudding they say, so here's a screenshot.
As you can see, kicking and whips are difficult to get up to level 65 because they don't make good "passive blocking" weapons.
It took a god-awful long time just to get from level 19 to level 65, so getting to level 66 would be an exercise in god-like patience. You'd have to have a bunker full of ommel cerumen rations, too. Plus you're combat bonus would only go up 5%. Maybe I'll do it just to see if it's possible later.

Whoa, By Loricatus, that's a big Battle Bonus, what exactly do Battle Bonuses do? Do they effect anything directly, things like Damage? Or is it a boost to the tohit, or some such?
Freelance Bezerker- 07-19-2006
I'm not sure exactly what battle bonuses. My guess is that they sway to to hit ratio in your favor. The more powerful my player gets, the more powerful plain-vanilla monsters get. At this point in my game, if I equip a weapon in which I only have level 12 or 13 proficiency and go head to head with just a zombie, I probably won't hit him 50% of the time, cuz' the game engine has jacked up his stats as well.
blob- 07-19-2006
Blah! This system of progression is weird... It had meaning that monsters spawn were stronger when you had more interesting items for them. But this just shows me this has no sense. There is no point here. :/
Freelance Berzerker- 07-19-2006
Aw well. It's fun anyways.
dalboz- 07-19-2006
could it be possible that the points returned to zero because they ran off the screen? the same thing will happen if you go into wizmode and hold down "1" for a few minutes. your HP will go up, up, up, but by the time your stats won't go any further, it's returned to 100.
