Won't Start Hey, I unzipped the "IvanWin050.zip" file, click the ivan.exe, and a window pops up, but there is nothing in the window. It's like it's see through with just a border.
I tried letting it work itself out, but it just stays in that state. I don't get any errors and other people I've talked to haven't had any problems. Anyone know what it might be?

This is what happens:

Thanks for all the help. Due to your suggestions and kindness I was able to solve this problem. This should seriously get an award for 'Best Support Forum Ever.'
Thank you all.

Well, for one, a little more info could have been helpful. No, I don't know what kind of info, but I'm pretty sure just a screenshot wouldn't help.
Also, when people don't know what could be causing the problem (as in your case, though I suspect a system issue), they tend not to answer.

Right. Sorry if i cant help but im just the kind of guy who hit his computer when it wont work.
Posting to say " I dont know" was useless.

I have no idea either - it seemed pointless to reply and say that though. However, if I'm posting on a forum for help with something like this, I'll generally include the following :-
Operating System & service pack (ok - it looks like XP, but you may have fluffed up the icons on Win 2k for all I know)
Machine architecture (athlon / pentium / other)
Video card make & model
System logs (if there are any)
Anything, however odd, that might possibly be related to the problem - eg if similar things have happened with other applications
What I've done to try to rectify it already (even if nothing has worked) - eg redownloading the file, checking it's MD5 sum (if there is one), running in safe mode, etc
If you give all of this, I still won't be able to help - but someone else who might have a chance of sorting it out will be equipped with all of the information that will help them to solve it.
Finally, not everyone is on the forum 24x7, checking each post religiously as it comes in. It may take a couple of days before the person that can help does read it & it may take a while after that before they have time to do anything about it. Until then, patience is required.
Good luck.

Well, I don't know for sure what was the problem, but I put my video card back into my computer and installed the drivers for that. I had taken it out because it's having some problems.
All I can think of is that the game wasn't compatible with the onboard video drivers. I have the latest ATI Radeon driver installed now for my Radeon 9500pro now.
It's working pretty well. Though, the game did crash when I tried to use a scroll of repair. I haven't tried using one since.

If you have a corpse or a severed limb in your inventory when you read a scroll of repair, the game will crash. Make sure you drop all corses etc before reading one & you should be fine.
