A: My overall favorite game? Probably have to be Minesweeper. That and Tetris. Two games that somehow never get old. As for gametype, I like console-style RPGs, and the occasional strategy game too. Then there's FPS games, which are always good for a break when you're agressive. So overall I don't have a real favorite gametype...
Q: How many Final Fantasy games have you finished?
Vizzini- 06-15-2005
It's either 1 or 5, depending on context (finished the game / finished playing due to irritation).
I got bored with FF4 very quickly & finished playing it forever.
Then I tried FF5 & got stuck & decided that I'd had enough (I believe it was a bug... I checked every town in the the whole damned world twice in the hope that the plot might continue. Walkthroughs told me what was supposed to happen, but it didn't).
Then FF7 - I finished that one twice. I have absolutely no fond memories of messing about on "Medeel" (That may not be its name... it was on the SE corner of the map) for hours until my characters were (a) hard enough to do the dirty on Sephiroth, or (b) had lucky 7's and were in a fit state to attack big nasty dude under the sea, or the other nasty dude in the desert. And the joys of watching "Knight's of the Round Table" (no - not watching... starting the summon and then going off to do something else for 10 minutes) repeatedly, because Squaresoft still hadn't worked out that some people might like a cut-scene button. Erm. I'll stop ranting here.
FF8 - Got bored early on. It was pretty, but not didn't grab me.
FF X - I'm pretty sure that the football (or whatever it was called) player that pushed me off a cliff had latent homosexual tendencies. Not that I discriminate against anyone on the basis of race / gender / sexuality, but that guy was completely gay. I had a strong urge to hurt him before he could do bad things to me in a darkened alleyway. Then I realised that I'd skipped a couple of important things in the game (yeah, great - the Jecht Shot is pretty much vital & really easy to miss), and had to go back and do things over. Again I cursed Squaresoft, because they've still not got the hang of "Give me a button to skip the &^*!!*& cutscene you *&*($&*(£ *&($*£^'s" (swear words removed to protect people with delicate minds - just insert your favourite ones). I went off & grabbed a beer & then forgot to ever go back to this one (so, I've finished with this one too, but never reached the end of the game).
My question. If I met the lead developer from Squaresoft - the one that has resisted including a "Skip Cutscene - especially for summoning" button in every damned FF game - and I poked him in the eye, once per hour, would the universe end before I had made him sorry enough?
:Edit
Atomic reads a scroll of "Summon bile demon"
Vizzini is suitably apologetic
unknown_entity- 06-15-2005
Since Vizzini's question has an obvious answer (screw poking him...bust out the box cutters), I will answer Atomic's question...
4. FF Legends, FF7, FF9, and FF10. FF3 and one other one (either 4 or 5) I nearly beat, but FF3 is just too damn long, even if it is an awesome game. Oh, and FF8 sucks donkey nuts.
Ever play any of those HORRIBLE Gameboy FF games? They're so bad. I bought one and in it you can only use a weapon or spell a certain number of times before it "runs out" and you have to buy a new one. Jerks.
Q: Where were you born? (boring but im in a hurry)
Atomic- 06-16-2005
A: I might as well answer both of those questions: I never played any FF games for the gameboy, though if you play FF1 on the NES you'll realize the greatness. Screw story, they say, just give them lots of tough baddies to take down and set them loose.
As for where I was born, I was born within 20 miles of where I am now, in Arcata, California, USA, Earth, Milky Way Galaxy, Universe #23318.
Q: Mac 'n Cheese: With or without tuna?
blob- 06-16-2005
Without, i'm vegetarian.
Q: Briefs or boxer shorts?
unknown_entity- 06-16-2005
Boxers all the way!
Q: What is your favourite RPG series? (FF, SO, etc...)
Mosgerion- 06-16-2005
I'd have to say that I like Tales series by Namco the most. ToP was my favorite, though only on SNES. Stupid overlarge anime heads / translation filters in the PS +GBA versions.
Apparently they also have the video anime series thing of them. None of the four have been released yet in the US. T_T.
Alright. The Google army has arrived at your door with their super-Google ray of obliteration. What do you do?
unknown_entity- 06-16-2005
I blow them away with the massive Olsen twin cannon I built. What else?
Q: Your walking down a dark and lonely road with a man named KG when the devil pops out of the ground. He tells you to play the best song in the world, or he will eat your soul. What do you play?
Atomic- 06-17-2005
A: "Everyone Else Has Had More Sex Than Me", by I don't know who. You can find it on Albinoblacksheep.com though.
Wait, what am I talking about? He's threatening my soul. Everyone knows geeks don't have souls.
Q: Family reunions. Good or bad?
unknown_entity- 06-17-2005
^good one :P)
Hmm...in between. Depends how much you like your family.
Q: Breast implants- secksy or disturbing?
Mosgerion- 06-17-2005
Well, I'd say disturbing most of the time. They rupture in 90% or something of the ladies they put them in.
Imagine feeling up a lady and then :pop: "What was that?" "I think it was my implant."
o_O No thanks.
Alright, other than IVAN, what's your favorite indie (independently developed) game?
Atomic- 06-25-2005
OOps, ignore this post, read the next...
Atomic- 06-25-2005
A: Titans of Steel (www.viciousbyte.de). It went commercial, but I still love the freeware version.
Q: Do you drink?
unknown_entity- 06-25-2005
A: No, im WAY to underage lol.
Q: Baseball or Football?
Atomic- 06-25-2005
A: Football. The real football. You know, soccer. Unless I'm watching, then it's American football.
Q: Did/does being "too young" ever stop you from doing stuff you shouldn't? (like staying out past curfew, drinking, smoking, etc)
