Yeah, you probably shouldn't eat something that you KNOW is poisonous, even IF you have high endurance, it still won't be that filling. Besides, if you had a high enough END you would be dead from the spawned monsters by that point.

This is my story: My char had nice armors and weapon (superbig axe) and then some enemy removed my hand and then i stucked to spider web, two pants start to bite me, i lost my other hand, i read scroll of teleportation (orsometihng) and then i teleport to another spider web! Then many plants come and they are bigger plants. I fought long and then big plant bite...*dead*.

Blob, you ENTIRELY beat me to the punch. I would find it amusing to be eaten by pants, myself. ^_^

My silly Grusome death
I'm quite new in IVaN, so ... this is my 'Grusome death'. It was quite hard adventure since i delivered the scroll in first quest. Gloomy level didn't share its treasures cheaply. At GC1 i got Leprosy, :cry: which caused drop of my arm and than one leg. After praying gods for help ( god of machines ) i got excellent brand new leg, it increased my kickin' stat a little :) but it was made of iron, after some time got rusted and fell off again. After next prayers ( actually i don't believe in IVaN's gods, cause they brought me death most of my tries ) goddes of Nature gave me arm from roses. After such hard fighting and long-time healing .. they give me iron leg and than let me hopping with rose limbs ? What the hell am i? Some kind of fairy? I hate gods. Whatever. I received a lot of experience and a lot of damage when fighting with group of mushrooms, also i received new gift, which i didn't know about. I entered GC2 full of new hopes, that i found at least some healing. 5 steps - gift has revealed - Polymorphing - in crimson light i morphed to big dark frog - wow, what stats, finally luck has smiled at me, let's KILL THIS LEVEL ALL AT ONCE. :twisted: Next 3 steps - :shock: mine - i survived as a frog, but ... everything was broken, also all wands. Then things start moving really quickly - 1 turn i teleported into shop - broken wand of acid rain made .. well .. acid rain, next explosion in the shop, so shopkeeper started to dislike me a lot and was trying to kill me, i started to run away, as soon as i got out of shop and out of Merka's weapons - crimson light again and i was again in my true 'form' ... well, end of killing frenzy and time to get out of here - bang - explosion. I didn't believe what minefinding ability i have gained ... actually ... in the score list i finded out, that it weren't mines, but ... Ischaldirh (see TOP10 pic: 5th place). On next play i accidentally digged into shop in GC3, this time was shopkeeper faster (see TOP10 : 2nd place). TOP10 pic - check it out :? I hate this game !!! :x But, it really rocks :wink:

The death by pants was excellent. Aye, we all hate it when that happens. But you know, if you're careful, such things can be avoided. As a friend of mine once said, <>

So, hey, who here has been mercilusly picked apart by an army of giant rats? Raise your hands please... Yeah, it pretty much sucks. I had just started a new game and it was looking good... I found a nice bastard sword and an ommel tooth mace. I even knew the god atavus already... But when I took a drink from a well... all hell broke loose. A TON of giant rats suddenly apeared and started attacking me... rember I have no armor... low weapon skills... and a useless god affiliation... I tried praying but nothing happend... except that I got an arm eaten off by the hoarde... Then I tried to tame them all with a scroll of taming... but that took about 10 turns and by then all I had left was ONE LEG! The scroll had only made one of the rats my friend, and I sure he died right off the bat... I tried to run but one of the rats kept right on my tail, and then bit off my last leg... I finally died when he burrowed through my stomach lining and began feasting on my bloody innards... I welcomed death, believe me... So ya, thats my most recent violent death... Sorry it was so long... I hope you enjoyed it...

Rats = evil. Though I'm suprised he ate your intestines rather than your testicles.

I just remembered something from a while back. This wasn't my death, but I thought it was both grousome and hilarious, so here it is. I had come up with a trick to get extra food while playing a starvation-prone char. I'd place bunches of banana peels in the path of the banana growers. Ten every two spaces. Anyway, if you don't know, getting hit once on the head or a limb will never dismember that limb, no matter how powerful the strike, IF it is at full health to begin with. However, if that limb is hurt... Well, at some point, one particularly unlucky banana grower was struggling his way through my line of banana peels. Around the time he walks by the "encourager," injured and bleeding, I read something along the lines of: The banana grower encourager critically slashes the banana grower in the head with a leather whip covered in blood. The banana grower's head is severed off. The banana grower dies without a sound. Oops. It was absolutely hilarious when it happened.

For the Rats and fountain drinkin' ...
In my first era of IVaN playin' i was the-real-fountain-drinker-to-the-very-end. One of reasons why i abandoned this practices was, that i was trin' to drink from one fountain in early levels UT1 or 2, not very equipped, but .. what can happen if i will only drink? first drink .. nothing, second ... army of rats - and they loved me, :o wow what army i have, third drink ... army of rats - and they hated me :shock: . Now war started good rats vs. evil ones. Who was winner? Two evil rats lasted and 'The One' avatar against them :twisted: . Anyway they finished me in five turns ... :cry: I hate fountains ... :wink:

Okay... I just got killed by a mistress torturing chief in Underwater Tunnel 1 !!!!! HOLY CRAP! WTF? I had only just started, average starting stats and everythin... it wasn't even polymorphed! This is crazy!

hahaha i loved the rat war! Topo, maybe it was a bone level ? Or maybe your dog was polymorphed in a powerful monster, not sure if that boost your danger level.
