It's amusing to see how quickly a community falls apart when there's no news for months at a time. Then again, having a rule against "topic revivals" and another rule against "thread necromancy" is pretty much a guaranteed way to artificially murder a forum. Not only can you not discuss what's been discussed before, but you also can't bump old threads in which you might want to carry on the discussing. Genius, that. Utterly.

So, any devs out there doing their diligent work or are we up shit creek without the paddle?

I would also note that it is quite obvious that I can't help but note that the moderators were ever as worthless as I predicted. Not only are they mean, vicious individuals, they also can't even keep the forums clean.

You want to know why this forum died? Here are the reasons.

1. The devs dissapeared. It's kinda difficult to keep a game community alive when the game is both incomplete and dead.

2. Spam. This is not my full time job. I have a full time job. I cannot keep an entire forum clean of spam by myself, even if I had the abilities to do so here.

3. Yes, our rules were kinda retarded. On the attnam forum I'm very lax about rules. Who knows, that might be better, but it might also cause more problems. Time will tell.

By the way Qualnor, I see you're just as dickfaced as ever. Your "pity me, rebel against authority" attitude and ability to spawn flamewars has been noted by pretty much everyone, so unless you have something worthwhile to contribute, I suggest you find somewhere else to be pissy.

Also I note that you had a much more minimal impact on the DF forums than you did here, dispite your best efforts.

And yes, we have relocated. Between the rediculous flood of spam this forum was getting, and serverside hardware difficulties, Somagu and I thought it would be in the best interest of maintaining the community to start a new forum. Most of those of us that were left agreed and have moved over. If you like, stop on by.

Well as long as you admit your rules were retarded, then you and I have no qualms.

After you created the rules, that was the reason I was 'pissy'.

Before you were made mods I wasn't so much 'pissy' as content to attack UE and one of the others for their attitudes that were highly aggressive towards new players who had dared not read every post ever written before asking a question.

Seriously though, if you acknowledge that your rules as moderator were misguided then I really have no beef with you on a personal level. Whatever we think on matters of talk, I can't really hold opinions and attitudes against a person, only actions.

And on a forum, the only people capable of actions are moderators.
