I think that has to do with the fact that the mine has two different materials -- a primary, normally iron, and a secondary, gunpowder. You can't change the secondary material. So when you eat it, I think the game doesn't know what to do with the gunpowder... It would probably do something similar if you made a banana flesh gunpowder backpack, or hand axe, etc. _________________ "Also, I'm the only person I know capable of a pelvic pary and riposte." -- Squashmonster

when you eat bananaflesh backpack it says "gunpowder is spilled all over you and does not crash.
if you eat a banana axe, or vermis or whatever you are just left with a stick of wood.
mines seem to be the only things that crash IVAN |

Hmm, perhaps I'm wrong then... Still, it might be that problem, and they just screwed up when they made it, and forgot to code that for mines. I don't think they expected anyone to be trying to eat mines.
