Hi there,
I am trying to compile the game on a modern linux box (frugalware 0.5pre1), with the last version of gcc (4.1.1).
So far, I get a few C++ template errors and after corrected them a binary that works well, except that when trying to load a saved game it segfaults without any message.
Anyone already had this problem, or I should suppose it's from the template thing? |

Never mind, I compiled it with an older gcc (3.2.2): there are no template compiling errors. The binary is ok, loading saved games works.
Probably newer versions of the compiler are more picky about C++ conformance. Since we can't touch the 0.5 release, compiling with newer versions of gcc would be probably best put to a wiki page , if the wiki would work :-/ |
