One of the great things about this game is the scaling difficulty. No matter how powerful my character gets, the game never fails to challenge. My current character is about 1,000 points short of level 64 in large swords. Good, right? No~~~... Because the game has suddenly decided to "vorpalize" every creature in the game. Look what this garden-variety skeleton did to my prize character...

The first skeleton reddens my torso and weakens my armor...

And the second skeleton biXXX-slaps me for a whopping 400~ HP of damage, killing me!

Holy moley, don't you just love IVaN?

No matter how hard you try, it can always be kicked up another notch (BAM) and still kick your ass.

I was kind of irked cause I wanted to get to level 64 so bad. But a freaking skeleton kicking my @SS was just too funny Smile.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that you are on day 110?

Also you have the INT with that character for full valpurium and golden eagle feather gear, why did you chose to go with crappy mithril armour? Looks like maybe you have ommel hair boots (maybe dragon hide) and steel gloves and Nymph hair cloak (maybe GEF). At least you could have hardened your mithril armour to Octiron which would have had an armour value of 29 + your enchantments and been one hell of a lot lighter (less AGI/DEX penalty). Maybe then the skeletons will stop kicking your butt. 8)

This is my "back-up" suit of armor.
Mages kept on popping up and disenchanting my +7 Valpurium Armor of Great Health. I've since switched to wearing the good set, but the monsters just adapt after about 30 minutes of game time and kick my ass anyways.

Yeah, day 110 and nearly a K of HP will make baddies very very angry at you.

Or maybe they have a touch of envy going on. Skeleton says "That dude has more health than me, CRUSH, KILL, DESTROY!!!"

I think I posted this somewhere else, but the guy was such a pushover. I kung-fued him to death in 3 moves. I think this is where level 65 rules (which I already have in unarmed). My previous character had valpurium limbs and that other good stuff, but was getting slaughtered by him every time. That time I brought back Izzy to New Atnam, resurrected him, had him lure Petrus outside of town, killed Izzy again, set 5 valpurium traps around Petrus, and then thiefed his balls.

golden eagle feather limbs are the best, have you tried duking it out with Petrus with them?

Eagle feather limbs sound pretty promising. With my current character I'm trying to go "all natural." I've got almost every weapon skill at level 65 except for axes, kicking, and uncategorized. It's my short-term goal to get my character to wield a valpurium palm leaf, which requires a strength of 121. Not sure how I'm gonna manage this, since even swinging pieces of armor which weigh 10,000 grams each at monsters doesn't seem to build up any strength these days.

try wielding a golden large box filled with gold stones. that should be heavy enough.
